Water Testing

Water Testing

From our research we now know that there are a number of different factors that can contribute to telling us about the health of a stream.

Over the next two weeks we will be heading out to the field again to find out how healthy our local stream the Utuhina is.  To do this we will take samples from two different areas on the Utuhina.  There are a range of different tests that can be used.... Your job is to now learn about the different tests and how to administer them!

You will be split into 7 groups

As a group you must prepare:

A step - by - step easy to understand guide for your classmates to be able to follow.

It must be a digital presentation as it will need to be shared  on our class blog.

You have today to complete this.

Checklist:
Does your information have:
*  Aim - what does this test find out about?
*  Explanation of test
*  Step by step method - anyone should be able to pick up your information sheet and follow it
*  Space for results to be recorded
*  Hypothesis - What do you think you will find in the Utuhina Stream?
*  Reflective questions

See your teacher for the resources needed for this activity!
